Idalis Vento is a passionate and experienced criminal defense attorney, and the founder of Vento Law Firm, based in Tampa, Florida. Born and raised in South Florida, Idalis brings a deep commitment to justice and client advocacy to every case she handles.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in History from Stetson University and her Juris Doctor from New England Law | Boston. While in law school, she gained practical legal experience through internships with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office (Environmental Crimes Section) and the Committee for Public Counsel Services, where she assisted in public defense cases in Quincy, MA.
After passing the Uniform Bar Exam, Idalis began her career as an Assistant Public Defender in Montgomery County, Maryland. She later returned to Florida, gaining admission to the Florida Bar and joining a private criminal defense firm, where she worked on white collar crime and complex civil litigation cases. She also served as an Assistant State Attorney in Florida’s 13th Judicial Circuit, giving her unique insight into both sides of the courtroom.
Today, as the founder of Vento Law Firm, Idalis draws on her diverse legal background— including time as both a public defender and a prosecutor—to provide strategic, aggressive, and compassionate representation to her clients. She is a native Spanish speaker and proudly serves both English- and Spanish-speaking clients.
